Solid waste originating within the boundaries of the Comox Valley Regional District and Strathcona Regional District can be brought to a Comox Strathcona Waste Management (CSWM) landfill, including the Comox Valley Waste Management Centre (CVWMC) and the Campbell River Waste Management Centre (CRWMC), or one of the CSWM transfer stations listed below.

Quarterly Late Opening Dates
The Comox Valley Waste Management Centre operational hours will be changed to 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm on the following dates. It will be closed in the morning to allow for staff training.

Transfer Stations
CSWM transfer stations may accept the materials shown below. Contact your local transfer station for a complete listing.
- Regular household waste
- Recyclables including plastics, metal packaging, paper, cardboard and more
- Residential roofing materials
- All clean wood waste including unpainted lumber, pallets and wood shingles (no paper)
- Yard waste including branches, leaves, grass clippings and kitchen waste (must be in biodegradable bags)
