Education

Our school educator Tina Willard-Stepan has worked with over 17,000 students, reaching every school within school district 71, 72 and 84 over the past five years. Through a variety of interactive workshops and resources, children from K-12 are learning how to reduce waste and live more sustainably.

Classroom Workshops and Presentations 

We're proud to host the Power of R, a series of fun and interactive presentations on living more sustainably. Presentations can be booked free of charge and customized for different grades or interest level. Learn more about the Power of R.

Free Educator Resources For Teachers

Earth Day Everyday Curriculum Kits offer a selection of activities, videos, books, and websites as a menu for educators to initiate inquiries in their classrooms. Download these resources.

Landfill Tours

Students can learn about what happens to their waste during landfill tours coordinated through their teachers. Tours are for grades 4-12 and can be booked through our school educator. Public tours may also be scheduled annually.

Community Education

Our community educator Lindsay Eason engages with approximately 5,000 residents each year across our service area at large community events, home shows, mall displays, recycling depots, community clean ups and Repair Cafés. She is also available to offer presentations and workshops, or support for your organization or strata to improve waste diversion. All service are free of charge.
